8:4. హదదెజరు నుండి పదిహేడు వందల మంది గుర్రపు దళము వారిని, ఇరవై వేలమంది కాల్బలము వారిని దావీదు పట్టుకున్నాడు. ఒక వంద మంచి గుర్రాలు మినహా మిగిలిన గుర్రాలన్నిటినీ దావీదు కుంటివానివిగా చేసాడు. ఆ వంద గుర్రాలను రథాలను లాగేందుకు రక్షించాడు.

8:4. అతనియొద్దనుండి వెయ్యిన్ని యేడు వందల మంది గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను ఇరువది వేల కాల్బలమును పట్టు కొని, వారి గుఱ్ఱములలో నూటిని ఉంచుకొని, మిగిలిన వాటికి చీలమండ నరములను తెగవేయించెను.

8:4. David seized from him 1,700 charioteers and 20,000 infantrymen. David cut the hamstrings of all but a hundred of the chariot horses.

8:4. David captured 1,700 charioteers and 20,000 foot soldiers. He crippled all the chariot horses except enough for 100 chariots.

8:4. And David took from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hocked all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.
