10:15. గొడ్డలి, దానిని ప్రయోగించే వానికంటె గొప్పదేంకాదు. రంపం, దానితో కోసే వానికంటె గొప్పదేంకాదు. కాని అష్షూరు తాను దేవునికంటే ముఖ్యం అనుకొంటుంది. ఎవరినైనా శిక్షించేందకు ఒకడు బెత్తం తీసుకొని ప్రయోగిస్తే, అతనికంటె ఆ బెత్తం ఎక్కువ శక్తి గలది, ముఖ్యమయింది అన్నట్టు ఉంటుంది.

10:15. గొడ్డలి తనతో నరుకువాని చూచి అతిశయపడునా? రంపము తనతో కోయువానిమీద పొగడుకొనునా? కోల తన్నెత్తువానిని ఆడించినట్లును దండము కఱ్ఱకానివానిని ఎత్తినట్లును ఉండును గదా?

10:15. Does an ax exalt itself over the one who wields it, or a saw magnify itself over the one who cuts with it? As if a scepter should brandish the one who raises it, or a staff should lift up what is not made of wood!

10:15. But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it? Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself?

10:15. Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? shall the saw magnify itself against him that wieldeth it? as if a rod should wield them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood.

10:15. Shall the axe boast over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!

10:15. An ax is not better than the one who cuts with it. A saw is not better than the one who uses it. Is a stick stronger than the one who picks it up? It can't do anything to the person who is using it to punish someone!
