20:16. “‘ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు నా కట్టడలను పాటించ నిరాకరించారు. వారు నా విధులను అనుసరించలేదు. నేను నిర్ణయించిన విశ్రాంతి రోజులను అతి సామాన్యమైనవిగా వారు పరిగణించారు. వారి హృదయాలు ఆ అపవిత్ర విగ్రహాలమీద లగ్నమై వుండుటచేత వారీ పనులన్నీ చేశారు.

20:16. ఇచ్చెదనని నేను సెలవిచ్చి నట్టియు, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించునట్టియునైన సకల దేశములకు ఆభరణమగు దేశములోనికి వారిని రప్పింపనని వారు అరణ్యములో ఉండగానే నేను ప్రమాణము చేసితిని.

20:16. I did this because they rejected my regulations, did not follow my statutes, and desecrated my Sabbaths; for their hearts followed their idols.
