5:5. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గర్వమే వారికి విరోధంగా ఒక సాక్ష్యం అవుతుంది. కనుక ఇశ్రాయేలు, ఎఫ్రాయిము వారి పాపంలో కాలు జారిపడతారు. కాని యూదా కూడ వారితోపాటేకాలు తప్పిపడిపోతుంది.

5:5. ఇశ్రాయేలుయొక్క అతిశయాస్పదము అతనిమీద సాక్ష్యమిచ్చును. ఇశ్రాయేలువారును ఎఫ్రా యిమువారును తమ దోషములో చిక్కుపడి తొట్రిల్లు చున్నారు; వారితోకూడ యూదావారును తొట్రిల్లు చున్నారు.
