12:39. కాని ఆయన చెప్పాడు ‘దుష్టులు, వ్యభిచారులు అయినటువంటి ఈ తరంవాళ్ళు రుజువు చూపమని కోరుతారు. యోనా ప్రవక్త ద్వారా చూపిన రుజువు తప్ప మరే రుజువు చూపబడదు.

12:39. వ్యభిచారులైన చెడ్డ తరమువారు సూచక క్రియను అడుగు చున్నారు. ప్రవక్తయైన యోనానుగూర్చిన సూచక క్రియయే గాని మరి ఏ సూచక క్రియయైనను వారికి అనుగ్రహింపబడదు.

12:39. But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
