1:2. ఆరంభమునుండి కన్ను లార చూచి వాక్యసేవకులైనవారు మనకు అప్పగించిన ప్రకారము మనమధ్యను నెరవేరిన కార్యములనుగూర్చి వివరముగ వ్రాయుటకు అనేకులు పూనుకొన్నారు

1:2. like the accounts passed on to us by those who were eyewitnesses and servants of the word from the beginning.

1:2. They used the eyewitness reports circulating among us from the early disciples.
