36. అయితే ఒకని ఎద్దు అంతకు ముందు ఇతరుల జంతువులను పొడిచి ఉంటే, అతని ఎద్దు విషయం ఆ యజమాని బాధ్యుడు. ఒకవేళ అతని ఎద్దు మరొక ఎద్దును చంపేస్తే, ఆ ఎద్దును స్వేచ్ఛగా తిరుగనిచ్చినందుకు అతడు నేరస్థుడు, అతడు ఎద్దుకు బదులు ఎద్దును ఇవ్వాలి. చంపబడిన ఎద్దుకు బదులుగా అతడు తన ఎద్దును ఇవ్వాలి.”
