4. ప్రజలకు ఈ విషయాలను యిర్మీయా తెలియపర్చుతూ ఉండగా విన్న రాజ్యాధికారులు రాజైన సిద్కియా వద్దకు వెళ్లారు. వారు వెళ్లి, “యిర్మీయాను చంపివేయాలి. నగరంలో ఇంకా ఉన్న సైనికులను అధైర్యపర్చుస్తున్నాడు. తాను చెప్పే విషయాలతో యిర్మీయా ప్రతి ఒక్కడినీ నిరుత్సాహ పరుస్తున్నాడు. యిర్మీయా మనకు శభం కలగాలని కోరుకోవటం లేదు. అతడు యెరూషలేము ప్రజలను నాశనం చేయాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాడు” ఇని చెప్పారు.
