25. దే రాత్రి గిద్యోనుతో యెహోవా మాట్లాడాడు. యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్పాడు: “నీ తండ్రికి చెందిన బాగా ఎదిగిన ఎద్దును, అనగా ఏడు సంవత్సరాల ఎద్దును తీసుకో. నీ తండ్రికి బూటకపు బయలు దేవతా బలిపీఠము ఒకటి ఉంది. ఆ బలిపీఠము పక్కగా ఒక కొయ్యస్తంభం ఉంది. బూటకపు దేవత అషేరా ఘనత కోసం ఆ స్తంభం చేయబడింది. బయలు బలిపీఠాన్ని పడదోసేందుకు, అషేరా స్తంభాన్ని విరగగొట్టేందుకు ఆ ఎద్దును ఉపయోగించు.
