16. ఎలీషాఎవని సన్నిధిని నేను నిలువబడియున్నానో, ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన ఆ యెహోవా జీవముతోడు నేనేమియు తీసికొనను అని చెప్పెను. నయమాను అతనిని ఎంతో బతి మాలినను అతడు ఒప్పక పోయెను.

16. కాని ఎలీషా, “నేను యెహోవాను సేవిస్తున్నాను. యెహోవా జీవముతోడు, నేను ఎట్టి కానుకను స్వీకరింపనని వాగ్దానం చేస్తున్నాను” అన్నాడు. నయమాను క ష్టతరంగా అతనిని సముదా యించుటకు ప్రయత్నించాడు. కాని ఎలీషా తిరస్కరించాడు.
